It includes a menuing system that can be seen by entering List without a filename, or by pressing ALT-V while viewing a file. You can view archived files of several types, do limited DOS functions, etc. A very handy program. List has many text filtering capabilities, and commands to mark text and save to a file. You can mark partial text file passages and save them to separate files, thus breaking up text too long for your word processor to handle into manageable pieces. Additionally, LIST can preload a series of text files and you can page through them using CTRL-PGDN or CTRL-PGUP. Wildcard characters can also be used to load the programs. This is great for finding a specific text file when you can't remember its name. With its text filtering capability, List is very useful for converting WordStar and other word processor created text files where the high bit of a character or junk characters must be filtered out.
